In our opinion, this grill is the very best of all of the portable gas grills.  The Coleman RoadTrip LXE is a free-standing grill. We found this grill on 11 different lists and four of those lists ranked it as Number One.

Pros:

Its price tag is very competitive, offers very easy assembly, very easy to transport, and comes with InstaStart ignition.  You will get two independently adjustable burners, a large cooking surface, interchangeable cooktops, and you can purchase a griddle-top separately.

Cons:

The only negative reviews said it’s quite heavy and can easily rust.  There are customer reviews that claim customer service is bad.

The Smoke Hollow Stainless-Steel Tabletop Grill

This stainless-steel tabletop grill is the least expensive grill we looked at and is probably a good choice if you are on a budget.

Reviews:

Pros:

It’s lightweight, comes with a temperature gauge, 2 burners, an ignition button, a large cooking surface, and a warming rack.  It comes with a stainless-steel drip tray, a locking hood, and is very easy to clean.  It also offers folding legs.

Cons:

Assembly is required and there are no carrying handles.  Some customers had problems with the Piezo igniter.

The Petite Gourmet Portable Gas Grill With VersaStand By Cuisinart

The Cuisinart Petite Gourmet Portable Gas Grill With VersaStand is the very smallest and lightweight of all the models of portable gas grills that we reviewed.  It offers a telescoping stand for use as a freestanding unit or tabletop. There have been several customers who have complained about its poor quality yet it still comes in as highly rated.

The dimensions are 16 x 16.5 x 13-inches It weighs 2.2 lbs
Total BTU is 5500 The Cooking Surface is 145 sq. in.
Offers 2 Burners Constructed from steel and stainless-steel burners and porcelain-enameled grate.

Reviews:

Pros:

Offering the telescoping legs is a plus. It comes with a small drip pan, cooks evenly and quickly. The grates can be placed in your dishwasher and it folds up for storage.

Cons:

There is no temperature gauge and the drip pan is very small. The knobs can be difficult to operate and has less than great customer service.

The Weber Q-1000 Liquid Propane Grill

The Weber Q-1000 us a Liquid Propane Grill which has received 6 #1 ratings in our search.  The Q-1000 is a smaller version of the popular Q-2000 and is a  redesign of the classic Q-100 or Baby Q.

A Cooking Surface of 189 sq. in. It’s constructed with a cast aluminum lid and body, porcelain-enameled  cast-iron cooking grates and stainless steel burner.

Reviews:

Pros:

It’s very easy to assemble, constructed of quality materials, and extremely easy to clean. It offers even heating and is very compact and lightweight.

Cons:

The negative reviews claim you must preheat the grill for 10 to 15 minutes, it only has one burner, and it does not have a temperature gauge.

The Weber Q-2200 Liquid Propane Grill

The Weber Q-2200 Liquid Propane Grill is just slightly behind its smaller version with 5 #1 rankings. It is also a totally new design for the Q-2000 family.

The dimensions are 26 x 5.14 x 25.1 inches It weighs 43.5 lbs.

We found this grill to be the most expensive of the grills we chose but it has a huge following of people who believe it’s worth every penny.

Pros:

It’s extremely easy to assemble, made of quality materials, and is just slightly larger than most portable units.  It offers a stainless-steel burner, electronic ignition, and temperature gauge. The temperature is easy to control and food cooks very evenly.  It also offers even heat distribution and folding side tables.

Cons:

Many reviews felt this unit is very expensive, it’s heavy, and heats very slowly.  Some customers found that the model it replaced was much sturdier.
